Filmmaker Kel Mcqueen
My Father John Doe presents Kel Mcqueen debut as both director and producer. As a West Virginia native Kel Mcqueen grew up in a small town being raised by her single mother and her great-grandmother whom is the namesake for her last name ‘Mcqueen.’ Growing up being the only little African American girl apart of the only African American family in the entire town she always knew that she was different in more ways than one. But she always knew that she had a bigger purpose so when she and her mother moved to Atlanta she began attending Fullsail University as a Creative Writing Major. She soon realized her love and skill for writing and filmmaking. And soon after she created a film that was closest to her heart ‘My Father John Doe.’
